Before Your Stay
As Living Heart team we are here to give you the best quality health care.
From initial inquires, questions and concerns about medical treatments, Vehbi Koç Foundation Healthcare Institutions staff members are here to assist you during all phases of your care. In order to ease the process of having a treatment in a foreign country, our support program begins before your stay to ensure you are fully informed about our facility.
Before your stay;
-Do not forget to check out the time of your admission
-In order to expedite the process and to direct your request to the relevant department for action, please send all necessary documentation (medical reports, X-rays/CT Scans/MRIs, pathology slides/reports, discharge summary etc.)
-Admission Office will be in touch with you to answer question you may have about your time in hospital.
Day of Admission
Patient admissions is open weekdays from 07:00 - 22:00, Saturdays 07:00 - 19:00 and Sundays 08:00 - 17:00, Patient Admissions is on the ground floor of the hospital. During any other times and public holidays you may use the Admissions in our Emergency department.
For Admission procedures to take place we recommend that your bring the following documents:
•Birth certificate or driver's license (TR Identity Number if available)
•Passports for non-Turkish citizens
•Medical records or documents
•Private insurance card and Hospitalization insurance form with physician’s approval
Communication is never a barrier during your stay. All of our physicians have academic knowledge and fluency in English. If you need an interpreter, please e-mail International Patient Office at firstname.lastname@example.org or call +90 212 444 37 77 - 1279. Arrangements will be made prior to your arrival. Our translator services are free of charge in the following languages only: English, French, Italian, Arabic, Spanish, Russians and Kurdish.
During Your Stay
In our hospitals your comfort comes first. In order to ensure your peace of mind, our health-care team will provide assistance at the highest quality and ensure that your expectations are met.
Patient ID Band
During admission, you will be given an Identification Band along with a 7-digit hospital ID number. For your own safety, please do not remove your Identity band on your ankle.
We offer a range of private rooms, suites and junior suites designed for the comfort of a single patient accommodation and your relatives.
All of our rooms are equipped with a private bathroom, cable TV with national and international channels. You may request a DVD player to be placed in you room.
Your room telephone extension is the same as your room number. You may press 9 to place a local call and 0 for the operator. All phone calls placed outside of the hospital will be recorded and added to your fee.
WIFI is available in all of our patient rooms. Please inform your nurse in the case of any connection problems.
There is an electronic safety deposit box inside your wardrobe for you to store any valuable items.
Meals customized according to each patient’s condition. All meals for patient companions (friend or family members) are also included.
Your meal, prepared by our dieticians is arranged according to a diet and nutrition program. Your menu which is made according to options appropriate to your treatment is brought to you in the morning by our floor waiters. Your diet is a large part of your treat and therefore we recommend you do not eat outside of the hospital. Patients' and their companions’ meals are served in the patients' room and empty trays are taken at the most convenient time.
-Breakfast Service: 7:30 to 8:30
-Lunch Service: 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
-Dinner Service: 7:00 p.m. - to 8:00 p.m.
During the times Companion Bed Stay please look care to stay in your room. Accommodation and food service for your companion is included in your room fee. Your companion’s bed is prepared by housekeeping after dinner services. However, under your reques we may prepare your companion's bed earlier. If you do not have an companion to accompany you, specifically if your risk of falling is high, you may inform your nurse to make the necessary arrangements.
